Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda area of the west coast of Florida is a rich area for Birdwatchers. Since our Birding mentors, Cathy & Gregg live there, we frequently visit the area and have many interesting birding adventures.

Even the walkway around our usual hotel located on Charlotte Harbor in Punta Gorda is abundant with interesting birds and photographic opportunities. There is also a nice park called Bayshore Live Oak Park which had loads of Salt Water birds and other species along the Charlotte Harbor shoreline.
