March Birding was Very Busy...
aside from Ballantrae birding, we did Trips to
(click on links) Chicago, Wakodahatchee wetlands,
Barley Barber Swamp, Stuart Beach,
and other nature areas.
This is mating season for many birds and the color and plumage displays are wonderful.
Photos galore, of many of our beautiful
resident birds this month.
The Osprey are nesting, feeding frantically and
some have hatched their eggs already.
Next month baby Osprey photos, and others...

Smaller that the Great Egret and
showing nice long mating plumage at this time.

Sandhill Crane (immature)
Great to see our Sandhill Cranes parading
their new young (called Colts)

Some residents are sending me bird photos for identification...
Glad to see appreciation for our often overlooked natural beauty.

We will be conducting walking tours of our Ballantrae Preserve soon.
